I spent yesterday hiking around Mt. Rainier, trying to get a feel for the park as well as some great locations to shoot. The weather report called for clouds, but no such luck! Who could complain about a beautiful sunny day in the park though! When I first arrived, I stopped off to see the view that is the first image in this gallery. The first thing I heard was the beautiful sound of a bugleing elk. I haven't heard that wonderful sound in 13 years!!! Travelers note-make sure you have a full tank of gas when you go to the park, they do not sell it anywhere in the park!! I originally intended to just stop and look here and there, but I ended up taking a hike up at Paradise. This hike went up and up and up, and now I can barely move! I think this one was tougher than Garfield Peak at Crater Lake!!
